[00:00:00] This hoben exists because of one moment in time. A grandfather and a grandson, tequila in hand, talking about life. And once you know that story, this bottle definitely tastes different. Today we're going to open up and review the Nosostros x Chesaprito limited edition Tequila Hoban or Trends or celebrity branding. This is about legacy, culture and family. After sitting down with Carlos Soto from the SOS Source Tequila, I can tell you this release is deeply personal and I've also posted a picture of this and a friend of mine reached out and said she grew up watching Chesaperito on TV and ordered a bottle right away. This tequila honors Roberto Gomez Bolanos. He's known by millions as Chesaperito or Little Shakespeare. The most beloved comedian and storyteller in Latin American history. A cultural icon, a shared childhood for generations. One of the most powerful moments behind this release comes when Roberto Gomez Bolivia, Chesaprito's grandson and today the director of sales at Nosostros Tequila and Mezcal. He share the last time he saw his grandfather in Cancun. They sat together with tequila in hand, talking about football, life and time itself. That moment became the soul of this bottle. Let's talk about what's actually in the glass because you know, as a tequila person, that's really what matters the most. This is a true blend. Intentionally designed 80% nosotros reposado and 20% nosotros blanco. Ratio is important. Blanco keeps it bright, agave forward while the Reposado adds some softness, some depth and some balance without covering up with anything. This is how hovens are supposed to be made. Another neat thing about tequila, the agaves are both sourced from the Highlands and from the Valles. It's cooked in traditional brick ovens. It is an additive free tequila and was a member of the additive free alliance built around transparency and honesty and is one of the only brands from NOM 1438 to actually become certified as an added free tequila. Even the bottle matters. It's made of 100% recycled glass, featuring the images of Chapulin, Colorado, El Chavo and Chesaprito himself. [00:02:04] Pretty cool. Quick note, some of the bottles today no longer come with this cool little band. They were unavailable. They couldn't source them anymore. So some of them come with it, some of them don't. Okay, fresh pop. Let's get this one in a bottle. [00:02:24] Look at that color. All right, let's dive into the nose right away. You get cooked agave. [00:02:32] Get a soft vanilla, some light honey, some white pepper. [00:02:39] There's A little bit of like a lemon, lemon peel and orange peel in that nose as well. [00:02:46] Smells very clean. Okay, let's dive into the taste. [00:02:54] The cooked agave is great. There's a nice honey note. [00:02:59] You get some lime, you get some orange, there's a little caramel, a little vanilla, and then like a nice soft pepper. Mid palate finish, I'm going to say is medium length, but it has a really nice mouth feel. There's a lingering sweet agave note, a really nice minerality note and some pepper. Yeah, and it, it kind of dries a little bit too. This is a really easy one to sip. This actually came in the La Ruta del Agave box. It was the last day of that calendar and to me it was the best tequila that was in that box. And I couldn't wait to get a bottle and try it again. This is a great bottle. If you can find it, pick it up. It is sort of a limited release. Once these are all gone, they're gone. They're not trying to create unicorn bottles. They just wanted to put something out that really touched on family cultural pride and sharing a tequila the right way. You can go to their website to find this bottle. It is very recently priced at $59 and the story behind it is really cool. To sit and tell somebody this story and have this along with it is really the most important part of this bottle. If you want the full story of why nasal thrust exists and how Carlo approaches the blending and where this brand is headed, watch my full interview with Carlos. It's linked below. Drop me a comment. Would you open this bottle and drink it or would you save it for sometime special? [00:04:12] See you on the next floor. Thanks for watching my videos.
