[00:00:00] Gardena Legacy Tequila. Not only is the owner a veteran, but his whole family has served in the United States military, including his daughter. So this is a tequila that the legacy is really about the whole family and how they've spent their life in the military. And that's enough to be said right there. Even if the tequila wasn't good, that's enough to support this brand in my book. But the tequila is amazing. Tequila is coming out of NAM 1468. They're in Los Altos. They're using highland agaves and their whole process. Chris explains in a video that I did when I interviewed him recently. I'll put a link to that video so you can check it out. Let's drink their repo. And I feel bad because I had it on Yeho and already drank it. So amazing. And their anejo is coming out soon. Their blanco is amazing as well. But let's dig into this repo. American oak barrels. [00:00:53] You get that oak in the nose and you get a nice herbal smell and a lot of minerals. So this is one that's probably going to feel a little more minerally to me, based on the smell, than it is going to be fruity or citrusy. [00:01:19] I actually got a little bit of the funkiness too, which you don't get a lot to me in the highlands. It's more in the lowlands down in tequila, not in the beautiful town of Arandas, which, if you've never been to Arrandos, you need to get on a plane and go. The people are beautiful, the people are nice, the town's amazing. And you get to go to some great distilleries. [00:01:38] A little bit of alcohol, but not a lot. Very approachable repo. [00:01:50] This one has a really nice vanilla, a little more vanilla than in some of the other tequilas that I taste. The barrel notes kind of come in after that and then you get this, like, all spice, a little bit of peppery, something that grabs you in the back of the throat and it turns into a little bit of a spearmint for me in the finish. This is a pretty complex repo. [00:02:23] A little floral in that taste. [00:02:26] That kind of goes back to the smell that had a little bit of floral and a teeny bit of citrus and a lot of agave. And the barrel here is definitely not the star of the show. You get all of the cooked agave, you get that finish, that peppery, nice, a little bit of a warm finish. [00:02:46] Very easy to drink. Coming in at 80, 80 proof, 40 ABV, this is a really easy to drink tequila. This would go great in a cocktail to me. It's a great sipper. As you can see, I've sipped on it quite a bit. Chris has done a great job with this tequila. There's a great story of how anger management turned into Cardenas Legacy Tequila. To to learn that story, you got to go watch the video. I appreciate you tuning in tonight. Check this tequila out if you can find it in your area. It is absolutely amazing. Cardena's Legacy Tequila. Fantastic. [00:03:25] So good. One to buy, one to check. Drink it.
