[00:00:00] Tonight, I want to talk to you about this tequila that is new, but it's old. It's been around, and it's been relaunched in the United States. El Ultimo Agave.
[00:00:10] This tequila is made by ileana Partita at NOM 1522 in Atamania. And I have to say, probably the sweetest, nicest person I've ever met. Ileana was so gracious to show us around the distillery. We were really time crunched. We kind of called her at the last minute, said we're here, and she's like, hey, no worries. Let me take you around and show you the process. And we've seen, you know, where their autoclave is, where they're putting in brand new stone ovens, this beautiful roller mill that they had, these huge open fermentation tanks and into this really awesome distilling area. And not even. I don't even want to talk about the awesome barrels and all the things that they had going on there. It's a fantastic distillery. But I got to tell you, this tequila, we got to do a tasting there, and you have a little bit of that malolactic funkiness. You got a lot of cooked agave.
[00:01:05] It just smells like good tequila on the taste, and a lot of cooked agave, a lot of minerals. Using a deep well, actually, their deep well actually provides some of the water to the town. They have some bottled water for people.
[00:01:22] It's got a lot of minerals. I get a little bit of cinnamon on the finish and a little bit of pepper. It's not a harsh tequila at all. This is a very approachable tequila.
[00:01:37] That's really good. I know that it's available in California. Here's the kicker, guys. I believe I seen it at $25 a bottle. I mean, at that price point, it makes this a very high rated tequila for me because this becomes a daily sipper, a daily mixer. Putting this in a margarita or putting this in a Paloma or a cantarita, this is good at tequila, but also it's an approachable tequila. It doesn't have a really harsh burn. It has a very nice peppery finish with a little cinnamon. It's very easy to drink, and it's. It's flat out delicious. And when you think of being able to find tequila today at $25 a bottle, I mean, that's. That is a great price point. And it makes it very usable for all kinds of things. If you have a restaurant or a bar, this. This is a great tequila to use as a house tequila. That's really reasonably priced to be able to have some great cocktails and a great sipper. But if you're like me and you just drink a lot of tequila and you're tired of spending 80 bucks a bottle and you burn through that maybe faster than what my wife wishes I did, this tequila at $25 will fit any, you know, any need that you have for a great flavor tequila and a traditionally made tequila by a fantastic family. I do have an interview where I interviewed Ileana and we talk about her process and we talk about her distillery. I'll put links to that where you can check it out and go watch that video and see probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met. And if you can find this one, pick it up. I have had the repo as well. I don't have it here, but I'm going to order one so we have it and I can do a review on it too. The repo is amazing and they also have another brand coming out that is kind of a special pet project for Ileana that is blending all of the generations of the partitas and how they made tequila into one tequila. And I'll have some information coming out about that soon and we'll talk about that next. But this one right here, fantastic. Ultimo Agave. Find it, Check it out. It is amazing. Thanks for tuning in.
