Best Summer Sipper? Solento Organic Reposado Tequila Review!

[00:00:00] All right, guys, what does surf in Hawaii have to do with tequila? Technically, not a lot, but this tequila right here, what a beautiful package this has come in. I'm really excited about giving it a try. Sorrento Organic Tequila. They sent this to me to try, and I'm going to try it right here. This Tequila is owned by a gentleman named Taylor Steele. And Taylor is known for all kinds of filmmaking and following the surfing circuit and has some amazing content out there in the surfing world. And he wanted to put together a Tequila that really represented all of his core values. And he did it in an absolutely beautiful way. So, Solento Tequila. Let's open this one up. [00:00:41] All right. I'm excited about this one. I listened to a really good story, a podcast Doug Price did quite some time ago on the Agave Social Club, interviewing Taylor as he talked about the tequila and his career and chasing all these surfers and making these videos as an action sports guy. I think that is really, really freaking cool. This tequila is made at nom 1480. They're using Valles agaves, They're using a stone oven. They're using a roller mill for crushing twice distilled. And then this thing sits in some old American white oak barrels. So let's give it a nose. [00:01:12] Ah, great cooked agave. I get some caramel and some vanilla and I get a little bit of fruitiness. [00:01:18] Let's. Let's dive into this, see if we can figure out what that fruit is. That's really clean. It's got a nice sweetness. That, that cooked agave is really nice. You get some cinnamon in the finish, you get that vanilla, you get some caramel, some nice barrel notes, a little bit of citrus in there as well. But let's taste it another time here. I pick up some nuttiness as well. So that, that fruit, maybe it's more like a pitted fruit or a raisin. Then it kind of turns nutty, maybe pecan type flavor profile in there. And then it swings into this really nice flavor finish. That's got some cinnamon. This is an incredibly approachable reposado tequila. So Lento organic Tequila. This is the good stuff. 40% ABV. Hopefully we can get Taylor on and do a whole story and learn a little bit more about the story behind the tequila and also behind this amazing filmmaking.
