[00:00:00] I just finished turning in my Level 3 Tequila Sommelier essay yesterday and man, I'm just hoping I pass this thing. And I'm going to tell you it is no joke. If you're looking to level up your tequila knowledge, the International Tequila Academy is definitely someplace to go. And I do have an interview coming up with co founder Adam Fodar soon. The International Tequila Academy program has three levels. There's one that's just your foundation. It gets you started. There's level two where you really start to understand production, flavor and process. And then level threes where it gets serious. It is the full on Tequila sommelier level. The first two I got through pretty quickly just from doing what I do. Reviews and tastings and videos and visiting distilleries and talking to master distillers. My knowledge base was pretty solid. Getting through 1 and 2 and the levels quickly helped me understand that I have been learning the right stuff. When I went into level three, it takes it a whole different level. Once you've gone through the in depth process of making tequila, tasting tequila, then it takes you into the business side of tequila. It shows you one how to research brands, how to research who owns the brands, who's manufacturing the brands, how to use the crt, the Mexican Copyright office and the Trademark office in America to find detailed information about the brands that you want to talk about. Then the essay dives even deeper and it teaches you how to consult with brands and restaurants and consumers on choosing tequila. The class goes super deep and the information they get from it is really incredible. The Academy is founded by Adam Fodar and Andrea Fodar and what I like about what they built is it isn't just theory. It comes from their real world experience, tastings, education, working directly with the culture in Mexico. Adam comes from a deep back background spirits, so his understanding of how to teach why and how the things that you taste taste like they do is pretty awesome. He also is very smart in the way he's collaborated with other people within the industry. Many of the informational videos that you have in the classes are done by people like Sergio Menendez from Don Falano, Ginny and Carlos Camarena from Tapatio and El Tesoro and many others. So as you dive into this information we not only are you getting the experience that Adam's teaching, but you're getting an amazing wealth of knowledge from the people who make tequila. Here's the cool part. You don't have to just jump into level three. You can do level one or just level two, but they also have a lot of really cool beginner courses there that are brand teaching so you can learn about Tapatio Athanasio G4. And those classes are free. So if you want to get started to learn about it, go there. Look, it's all done for me. Now I just have to wait for it to be graded by the group there and tell me if I passed or not. So I figured I'd pour the tequila that brought me, you know, first two tequila. Good old Sammy Hagar. This is Santofina. It's high proof and I'm excited about having a big old high proof drink, relaxing and hoping I pass the class. Cheers. Thanks for watching.
