Show Notes

Today I’m reviewing the new Cazcanes No.7 Joven, a $99 tequila that sold out instantly. Full tasting notes, production breakdown, finish, and whether this Joven is truly worth the hype. In today’s review, I’m diving into one of the most talked-about new releases of the year: the Cazcanes No.7 Joven. Priced at just $99, this bottle sold out immediately during the single-bottle drop, and the big question is simple—does it live up to the hype? Cazcanes No.7 Joven is crafted as a balanced, agave-forward blend built entirely to taste: • 59% Blanco • 13% Reposado • 26% Añejo • 2% Extra Añejo The result is a vibrant and expressive Joven with bright cooked agave, vanilla, toasted coconut, baked apple, citrus, caramel, and that unmistakable Cazcanes minerality. The finish is long, silky, and clean—with a gentle sweetness and lingering warmth. Produced at NOM 1614 under the direction of master distiller Don Chico Jiménez, Cazcanes continues its reputation for quality, intention, and additive-free craftsmanship. In this video, I break down: ✔ What makes Cazcanes No.7 Joven unique ✔ How the Blanco/Repo/Añejo/EA blend works together ✔ Detailed tasting notes (nose, palate, finish) ✔ How it compares to other premium Joven tequilas ✔ Whether this $99 price point is a steal ✔ Why Cazcanes continues to stand out in the additive-free tequila world If you’re a tequila collector, a craft spirits fan, or someone who wants the best bottles under $100, this review will help you decide if Cazcanes No.7 Joven deserves a spot on your shelf. ⭐ Chapters 00:00 – Intro 00:18 – What Is Cazcanes No.7 Joven? 00:48 – Full Production & Blend Breakdown 01:40 – Aroma/Nose Notes 02:30 – Palate Tasting 03:25 – Finish & Complexity 04:00 – Is It Worth $99? 04:45 – Final Thoughts Follow Me Instagram • Facebook • TikTok: @tastingtequilawithbrad Subscribe for more tequila reviews, interviews, and breakdowns. © Tasting Tequila with Brad

[00:00:00] So today I'm reviewing the new Cascanes number seven hoven. And listen, this bottle is only $99, and when it first went up for pre sale, it sold out instantly. But price doesn't mean anything unless the tequila delivers. So let's see why. This one has the entire agape community buzzing. This isn't your typical hoven. Cascane has blended it with a base of 59% blanco, 13% repo, 26% on Yeho, and 2% extra on Yeho. So we're getting the brightness and the purity of their blanco, but layered with the elegance and richness of all their aged expressions. Unlike big brands that follow a strict formula, Cascane's builds every batch to taste. They taste through barrels one by one. They build the profile with intention. And it's handcrafted. The name Cascanes honors the Cascan people, one of the few indigenous groups who resisted the Spanish conquest. That legacy, resilience, and respect for the land is a huge part of the brand's identity. [00:01:04] The healing hand symbol represents craftsmanship. Balance the hands that shape every bottle, literally down to the rope tied around each one. And the person behind this tequila, Francisco Don Chico Himez, the master distiller with over 40 years in the industry. [00:01:21] Low slow autoclave cooking, open air fermentation, careful distillation. When you see this bottle, you're seeing decades of tradition and intention. [00:01:31] Let's dive into this one. [00:01:39] On the nose, you get that expressive cooked agave, that signature Cascane's minerality. [00:01:46] Those layers of aging show up as well. I pick up some vanilla, some toasted coconut, a little bit of baked apple, a whisper of citrus, and a warm caramel note as well. It's really clean and it's got a great, like, anejo smell with a blanco smell kind of blended together. Let's dive into the palate. [00:02:10] All right. That's silky. It's got a bright blanco heat right up front. Agave freshness, crisp minerals. Those aged expressions kind of slide in a little bit as you get into the flavor of the palette. You get that blanco hit and all of that agave. And then that's where I pick up that vanilla, some coconut. I get a warm baked fruit like, like a, like an apple and an apple piece. [00:02:35] Just a little hint of oak and some caramel. [00:02:38] This is really layered. Got a lot of flavors, but it still manages to keep that agave up front. Let's. Let's take another sip of this one. I really like that apple note and that baked fruit note. That I pick up in this. The finish, it's long, it's warm, it's. It's slightly sweet, but it's not syrupy. [00:02:58] It lingers in a really good way. [00:03:00] And, you know, it's still true to agave. I still get agave in every one of those tastes with so many other layered flavors that make this a really a complex hoban. All right, so here's the big question. Is Cascane's number seven worth 99 bucks? Honestly? Absolutely. This drinks like $150 to $200 hoeven easily. You're getting the vibrancy of blanco, the richness of their aged lineup, and the craftsmanship Costano's is known for. It's a perfect bridge between unaged and aged tequila. It's one of the most impressive $99 bottles I've reviewed in a long time. To be able to have a great agave punch of a blanco. Yet so many different layers from so many different levels of aging makes this really complex. If you've grabbed this one before they're sold out, drop a comment below. I want to know what you think. If you missed out, keep an eye at your local retailers because it is coming soon to stores on their website. It still is available as two packs, so two bottles for $199. Make sure you like subscribe and as always, sip slow, sip smart, drink great tequila. Have a great night.
