[00:00:00] All right, today I'm going to do a blind taste test for all the people doing dry January. [00:00:05] And does non alcoholic tequila taste like tequila? And we're going to use the solar blind to find out. I have loaded the solar blind with this product right here, Almave, which is a distillate that's non alcoholic, made of blue ever agave. Great blanco made by Sergio Cruz, Si empre blanco. And this is called ritual Zero proof. And this says that it is a tequila alternative. [00:00:41] So I don't do dry January. I'm fired up when I do dry mornings. I like tequila. I like the taste of tequila. So I want to see if these are going to taste like tequila enough that next year I could contemplate a dry January. So let's give this another little spin here. [00:00:58] Don't know which one is which. [00:01:01] And we're going to grab the first one in the front. [00:01:07] It smells fruity. Like it has a weird smell. I'm going to go with this one is not tequila, but let's try it out. [00:01:16] Oh, my gosh. [00:01:21] That's like a watery mouth feel some weird fake spice like pepper. [00:01:29] Nothing at all resembling tequila, not in any way, shape, or form. So we don't even have to wait to see what it is. This one is the ritual. [00:01:42] So that. That is if somebody wants to come over and. And take that bottle home, they can. If you're doing dry January and you love tequila and you're drinking this all month, God bless you. It's crazy. All right, let's try this next one. [00:02:01] I think that one's tequila now. I know. Okay, so this one right here, let's set it out and give it a taste. It smells like cardboard. [00:02:21] And. And there's a fruit to it. There's like a fruitiness there, like a mango maybe and sawdust. So a little bit of mango, some minerality of some kind and some sawdust. Not nothing that smells like cooked agave, but it does have some minerality to it. Let's give this one a try. [00:02:49] Again. Very. It's like drinking water on the mouthfeel. There's no agave oiliness. There's no tequila flavor at all. It has a. A weird spiciness to it. It's not offensive, though. So this one definitely is the Al. [00:03:04] It's not offensive. I bet this is gonna sound crazy to say, but some of the flavors that are in this would probably go great in a margarita. Make your normal margarita. Add some of this and it. Add some minerality and a little bit of a fruitiness to it and a weird spice. The spice is almost like a chili spice where you don't get, like, a vegetal taste, but you get, like, that vegetal heat. [00:03:30] So I would drink that in a margarita. That probably would have helped me out if I was doing dry January. And I knew this when I picked it up. You get some great minerality. You get some citrus to it. It just. It smells like fine tequila. There it is. The reason I don't do dry January, the fantastic taste of tequila. So for all you guys that have done dry January, it's almost over. Almost made it. Good luck. Keep it up. [00:03:55] And for all of us that don't do dry January, may we just continue in silence drinking tequila through the month of January. [00:04:04] Cheers. Respect what you drink. Drink what you like. Thanks for watching my videos.
