[00:00:00] All right, guys, I got one for you tonight I'm pretty excited about. This is a tequila, in my opinion, that doesn't get talked about enough. Corrido. And today we're going to have what they call their overproof blanco. This is coming in at 50% ABV or 100 proof. And corrido has a really amazing story. A guy named Brad started this brand and really got things going and had a great flavor profile and an idea behind the brand. And then he passed away, and the brand almost went away as well. And then the guy that's running today was able to rescue the brand. He owns a lot of restaurants in Arizona and really just wanted to have the brand be there for his restaurants and turned it into a great brand and honoring what his friend had started in and keeping the similar profile and all of the cool designs that they have here. The guy had a real love for music. So you can see on the bottle has a guitar pick, has a really cool logo of a guitar coming out of an agave plant. And if I ever get the guts up to do it, that's the tattoo that I'm going to get. So tonight, let's go ahead and try the. The overproof. This is a new bottle. I haven't actually had this one yet. I just recently did a video with master distiller Oscar Vasquez, and he talks about some of the different ways of cooking agave and how that cooking affects making tequila. And we talked about this one. He is the master distill of Credo coming out of nom 1412, which is in Rondas. And it's a very old distillery that has a great history of making great tequila. They are using a low pressure autoclave for this tequila. It's highland agaves. They're using deep well water. They use a roller mill, and they're also using open stainless steel fermentation without fibers, and they use a stainless steel pot for the distillation. So let's. Let's give this one a nose on the nose. You get an earthiness. You get a cooked agave. I pick up some citrus, a little pear, a little cherry, and a little bit of, like, a saltiness in there as well. Lots of different flavors coming out of this one. All right, let's give it a taste.
[00:01:55] Sweet cooked agave, some earthiness, a ton of cinnamon. That cinnamon just really comes on, has a great flavor to it. Wow. That cooked agave with the cinnamon is really awesome. The way those two blend together in this flavor profile. A little bit of apple, a little bit of pear, a light amount of citrus and that cinnamon just comes into that finish and just really is really strong. That's a really great flavor. So when you go back into that nose, you get that pear and that citrus. It really comes out as an apple and pear with a little bit of citrus in the, in the actual flavor. This has a lot going on. One, it's an agave bomb. There's so much agave and that apple and cinnamon together really make this very enjoyable. Finish is nice and long too. And it really doesn't drink like it's overproofed. To think that this is 100 proof tequila and sipping this easily and not super hot with so many different aromas and flavors in there, this is a must. Check out Corrido Credo Blanco Overproof. This is a fantastic Tequila. Not talked about enough in my eyes. I can get an interview set up with these guys where we can talk about their whole process and the story behind this brand because it has some great, a great story. So check out their website, check out their social media, check out our interview with Oscar where he explains the difference in cooking methods. Thanks for watching the videos. If you've had this tequila or what your thoughts of it are, or if there's a tequila you'd like to see me review, let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching.
