The BEST High-Proof Blanco I’ve Ever Reviewed | Siempre Exclusivo Conexiones

[00:00:00] I reviewed a ton of high fruit blancos and this might be the best one I've ever smelled, one of the best ones I've ever tasted. And I actually stopped for a second just to take it in. This is Doug Price's newest agave social club release, Siempre Exclusivo Connectiones. And I'm telling you, this one is special. Doug Price has built an incredible reputation in the agave community by partnering with brands to create releases that are honest and intentional and agave focused. And Siempre, well, you already know they're one of the brands producing clean, flavorful, additive free tequila. Plus Sergio Cruz working alongside. They can't make a bad tequila. So let's start with what blew me away immediately. The nose. The nose on this tequila is outrageous. I don't want to say that lightly. The second this hits the glass, it explodes in layers. Vanilla, cooked agave, cinnamon, orange blossom, banana, pineapple, citrus. It's bright, it's fresh, it's lively. I pick up some floral tones, a subtle hint of tea, and this clean minerality seems to hold everything together. It's got the fingerprint of 1414 and everything that Sergio Cruz creates, but it's got something special on the palate. [00:01:11] This is beautiful. It is so balanced up front. Pure cooked agave, sweet, vegetal, then pepper, then cinnamon. Spicy. It's a like, almost like a cinnamon roll. It's so spicy and so good and those things. I got the nose right here in the glass. Banana, pineapple, citrus, orange, some lime, spearmint anise, a touch of tobacco, spice, even a little bit of minerality throughout the entire thing. Everything feels intentional and balanced. You've got brightness, you've got a sweet, you've got spice, you've got freshness. It's all working together without anything getting Muddy. And at 50% ABV, I don't know how many more glasses I can have of this tonight. Let's talk about the mouthfeel and let's talk about the finish. The viscosity of this is light, but it's silky. It coats your entire palette, every single piece of it. Fills it up, but it never feels heavy. Then the finish fades quickly and cleanly, but it leaves behind a really nice vanilla cement, a pepper, a cooked agave, and a vibrant citrus that just kind of pops and hangs around way longer than what you would expect. And that citrus makes it refreshing and unbelievably easy to keep sippy. Siempre Exclusivo conectiones. Doug Price and Siempre absolutely crushed on this one. Doug picked the palette on his own. They put together different things for him to taste and he had to pick it. There are three more generations of this coming out. This is just the blanco high proof. There's going to be a repo, there's going to be an anejo, and there's going to be an extra anejo.
