[00:00:00] All right, I am pretty fired up about this one. Today we are going to compare this corrido blanco with this corrido blanco. And what is the difference, you say? Well, this is the older master distiller that was original with corrido. I'm making this at nom 1412. And now this one is made by my friend Oscar Vasquez at the same distillery, NOM 1412. So they just made a switch of their master distiller. And I want to see if we can actually taste a flavor difference between the two. These are Highlands agaves. These are both tequilas are made at NOM 1412. They are roller mill for extraction, stainless steel pots for distilling, low pressure autoclave for cooking. So exact same method as the way they are made. Credo's got a great story, and I can't wait to get the owner of this brand on and have him tell the story. This is another tequila that has some roots in. In music, and the owner of this loved music. That's why there's a guitar growing out of an agave plant. So they've got a really cool story.
[00:01:02] That was a nice fresh pop. So let's pour this in here, and let's see if we can taste the difference of some Oscar Vasquez perfection here. So in the first one, the nose is a little floral. A lot of minerality there. Almost like some limestone.
[00:01:20] Pick up a little lime as well. Little bit of alcohol, and some nice cooked agave. So let's. Let's go into batch number one with Oscar. Ooh, it's got a much brighter aroma. I pick up a little bit of funkiness. Got a lot of cooked agave. It's that same minerality. It's a little bit more vegetal than what this one is, and it just has a nice funkiness to it on the. On the nose. That's really good. All right, so let's go back into this one nose and taste. Nice cooked agave. A little bit floral. Nice finish. Heats up. Got a little teeny bit of cinnamon in there. Gets a brininess that goes into a really nice, I'm going to say lime and lemon. It's like a lime first and then goes into lemon. So it has a nice citrus taste at the beginning of the finish. Nice floral note, a nice sweetness, but faint. Not like right at you. Like some of these tequilas have this really strong agave sweetness. This is a nice agave flavor with a little bit of sweetness. Okay, let's dive into the batch one of Oscar Nose has changed a little bit now this opened up. I get a little bit of a floral smell in the nose as well. Floral minerality, a little bit of vegetable. Vegetableness. The citrus goes orange and then into that lemon. The finish is definitely longer. It lights up with a little bit of a peppery flavor in the finish as well with some. Some spice. I like that floral note and that citrus note together and just a little faint hint of spice and cinnamon that comes out in this one. So I'm going to say both of them are fantastic. I've really liked Corrido. I love all of their products that they've had out. Their high proof is a cinnamon bomb and I just really like it. Their anejo is also really sweet and creamy and has a great flavor to it. Repo is fantastic as well. Which one I like better? I like them both, honestly. This one just has a little bit of an improvement of a floral and agave flavor. The sweetness is a little stronger with an agave forward flavor. More spices, more like a baking spice and cinnamon. Whether you're finding the new one or you're finding the original, they're both fantastic. I will put a picture here of what to look for on your numbers where this one has no number on the inside of the bottle. So when you're looking for it and you see the print on the inside the bottle, this is 01 it up again, can't go wrong with you. And they're both fantastic. Oscar, like always, has done a great job. Corrido Tequila or Tequila Carrido is, is a great, great brand. I love their bottles. I love the logo, I love the guitar coming out of the agave plant. So if you've had Corrido put in the comments what you think about it, if there's a tequila you'd like for me to review. Definitely mention that in the comments as well. And thanks for watching. Have a great night.
