[00:00:00] All right, tonight, let's talk about Pedro Fortiva, their exclusivo 1331 Anejo. And I know I've talked about this brand a lot. I really love everything that Peter and Omar have put together here. This brand is very inexpensive. It's very flavorful. It's traditionally made. It's just all around. It's awesome. Even the. The old bottle is really cool with the label. And, you know, sneaky Pete right there in the middle. This is pretty exciting tequila for me. If you haven't seen the inter, Peter and Omar, check it out. And if you haven't seen the video where Peter Kiley showed up here at my bar here in Indianapolis and shared this on yejo with me, it's definitely one worth checking out. And this is a tequila that, yes, they gave me some tequila to try. Those are gone, though. And I've reordered their blanco, their repo, their anejo. This is a tequila that for me, is a go to easy to drink, amazingly flavored tequila. So let's talk a little bit about this one. It's coming out of nom 1360, and this is a group of agave farmers that decided, hey, let's go ahead and make a tequila. So Omar's history in tequila and his family's history are very deep as agave farmers, and they really wanted to come up with an authentic tequila to bring to us. One of the best things about this one as an Anejo for me, 43 ABV to have it come in at 86 proof is really freaking awesome because it gives you so much more of agave flavor with that. Higher proof, less water, higher proof, more flavor. Okay, this one, it's highland agaves. Deep well water, stone oven, cooked roller mill, crushed open, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Also for the barrel aging, they're using American white oak whiskey, and they're using some French oak. They're all used barrels, and they're doing some blending to put the flavor profile together. But let's give it a try. What do you think? [00:01:59] This is one that I've. Like I said, I've already finished off one full bottle. And if you want to know the story of why it's called, log into the video in the very first interview. I'll put a link of it at the end, and they explain the whole reason why they call it 1331. Pretty cool. Let's jump into the nose. In the nose, you definitely get some cooked agave. The barrel's not overpowering anything here. To me I get some orange peel, I get vanilla, I get the barrel smell. I actually get a little nutmeg or cinnamon right there in the, in the nose. [00:02:30] And I don't know if it's. I don't know if it's toffee, like a heath bar smell, but I even picked that up a little bit. So the nose on this is amazing. There's so many aromas in this tequila. And for a tequila that's this inexpensive, to be this complex in the nose is pretty amazing. Let's. Let's dive into the taste. [00:02:48] On the taste, it's very similar to the nose. I get the cooked agave, I get the orange, I get some floral to it. I get the cinnamon. I get those barrel notes that, that musty barrel taste of standing in a barrel room. I pick that up both in the nose and in the flavor. There's a little bit of that toffee that I mentioned earlier, but almost a little bit of coffee in that sweetness. And the finish is just really strong. It has a lot of flavors. I get like a tobacco leather type taste in the finish and then it kind of tingles out into this cooked agave sweetness. This, this right here is. It changes every time I taste it. Every time I pull this out and pour a glass of it, I pick up a different note, a different flavor. It never strays from the cooked agave that it is. And it just adds all of the nuances of this barrel and the agaves they're using. Peter Omar, you're doing a great job. I really appreciate this tequila. I can't wait to order some more. I may need a case discount when I order next time. Put the website right here. Check them out. You can order this, have it sent to almost every state. Again, very great price tequila. If you're going to get an anejo by two, I'd recommend getting a blanco and a repo to go with it. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Comment if you could, if you've had any of the Pedro Fativas, what you think of the Sneaky Pete Tequila and share like, follow all those wonderful things. Thanks for tuning in. Have a great.
