[00:00:00] Look what I found at the store. A one liter bottle of Suerte Blanco black label. Because it's the 1 liter bottle screw top instead of the cork. The liquor store that I picked this up at, Sobro Spirits here in Indianapolis had this on the counter for 34 bucks. 34 bucks for a Blanco in a one liter size bottle? Man. Let's talk about this tequila. This tequila is coming out of NOM 1530. And you know how many tequilas they make at NOM 1530?
[00:00:28] Just this one single estate agaves. Stone, oven, screw mill, and to honor, crush natural spring water. Open fermentation, spontaneous with no fibers. Twice distilled in a stainless steel copper pot. Right. This tequila is what I would call a beginner buy. It's agave forward. It has a great flavor to it. It's not overpowering. It's a clean tequila. When you taste it, you know it. And coming in at 34 bucks as a liter. If you can pick it up at sober spirits, you cannot lose. Now, the reason the label is different and it's a screw top is really this tequila is not made for the shelf in the liquor store. This bottle's actually made for the tray below the bar where they're pulling out their house brands to make a margarita. And they really don't care about what it looks like because people can't see it. So it's. It strays away from their beautiful bottle with a really pretty label with the painted rabbit on it a bit. Same tequila inside. So let's give it a try. Pretty sure I've done a review of just this blanco on its own. But hey, it's probably been a while. Let's do it again. Here we go.
[00:01:32] Cooked agave.
[00:01:33] A little bit of minerality. To me, there's a teeny bit of funkiness there. I get wet grass, like the smell that someone just mowed the lawn. And it's wet cut grass. I get a little bit of citrus, a little bit of lemon. There's a little bit of a floral smell. So let's dive into the taste of this one. A nice light cooked agave. A little bit of a green agave, actually a little bit of lemon, a little bit of pineapple. And as it rounds out, kind of like a melon flavor. So this is loaded up with a lot of different citrus that in some cases I say I can taste a citrus hint. But this I can actually taste pineapple. I can taste melon. I get that lemon feel that wet grass is there. This gives you that earthiness that. That herbal vegetal flavor of the wet grass is just there, like it is in the smell. And you do pick up the agave as well. Of course the finish is nice. It's not an overpowering finish. It's not one that's really complex. It just turns into a little bit of pepper and takes those fruity flavors and fades it away. So if you're looking for what I would truly call a beginner buy, you're a brand new to tequila. You want to pick something up that's not going to break the bank and you want something that has a lot of flavors with everything natural, just really clean and natural. Sirte, this is phenomenal. If you can find this big bottle, pick it up. Small batch, single distillery, double distilled tohona crushed, super clean tequila created with the pure spring water of the town of Tatanico, which is just there in the Highlands and Los Altos. Definite a place to check out. Definitely a great tequila. If you've got a tequila that I haven't talked about on the show and you'd like me to put it in the comments, if you're ever in the Indianapolis area and you want to sit down here at the bar and have a drink and make a video, just send me a message, we'll do it. Thanks for watching my videos. Have a great day.
