Is TC Craft Tequila the BEST Budget Blanco? Easy to Drink, Great Price, Worth It?

[00:00:00] All right, let's talk about one that I haven't talked about in a while. This review has been a long time coming. TC Craft Blanco. I did an interview with the one of the founders, Todd Botteroff, and how they came up with TC craft and how they found nom 1533 to make this and how they met Millie Barajas, their master distiller to really put this tequila together. These guys are coming out of Nashville, Tennessee. Like I said, nom 1533 and they have some great express impressions, a great price tequila. You can buy it straight from their [email protected] I'll put that website in the notes so you can check that out. And let's dive into this one. This is a Highlands Tequila. So coming out of Los Altos stone brick ovens, roller mill, deep well water, stainless steel, open wild fermentation without fibers going from there into twice distilled in stainless steel pots 80 ABV. So this is a very standard tequila. And when they brought this out, they wanted to bring a real agave forward flavored tequila to the market to where it wasn't an overwhelming hot tequila or super crazy nerdy agave complex where only the US Agave nerds would get into it. They wanted to bring something that's approachable and also great to make in a cocktail. So let's dive into this one. [00:01:20] Definitely get some cooked agave. I guess just a little bit of wet rain and some wet grass type smell in the nose. [00:01:28] Flavors are all over the place in the nose. You, you get all kinds of different vegetal notes. A a lot of minerality. [00:01:36] Let's dive into the flavor. [00:01:38] Cooked agave is there. I get some honey. I get that earthiness, that wet grass taste, that vegetal minerality with the this taste is that of the smell of fresh cut wet grass. You kind of pick that up in there. Let's give it a little, another little taste here. [00:01:55] It's got a nice sweetness. I'm going to say a hint of vanilla in there as well. In the finish I get a little bit of like an asparagus green pepper with a little bit of a peppery finish to it. And the sweetness that's in there is almost like a cream soda type flavor as it's going into the finish. [00:02:16] TC Craft great tequila.
