Show Notes

Healthy drinking in 2026 doesn’t mean quitting alcohol — it means drinking smarter. In this video, I explain why tequila, especially additive-free tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave, fits into a more intentional and balanced lifestyle without going to extremes. For years, we’ve been told the only way to “drink healthy” is to quit completely — Dry January, no alcohol, all or nothing. But for many people, that approach doesn’t last. In 2026, the conversation is shifting toward quality over quantity. In this video, we cover: • Why healthy drinking doesn’t have to mean quitting alcohol • How tequila compares to wine, cocktails, and shots • The calorie problem with margaritas and sugary mixers • What “additive-free” and “traditionally made” tequila actually means • Why sipping tequila neat or as a Ranch Water changes everything • How intention, not excess, is the real difference This isn’t about drinking more. It’s about drinking better. If you’re doing Dry January, cutting back, or simply rethinking your relationship with alcohol in 2026, this video will help you see tequila — and drinking — in a completely different way. Featured topics: • Additive-Free Tequila • Traditionally Made Tequila • Ranch Water (Tequila + Lime Topo Chico) • Mindful & Intentional Drinking Comment below: Are you quitting alcohol, or just drinking smarter in 2026? [00:00:00] What if getting healthy in 2026 doesn't mean quitting alcohol, but drinking less and drinking smarter is a better answer? And what if I told you tequila, real tequila, fits that mindset? Every year I hear people saying, I'm going to do this for the New Year's resolutions. I'm going to do a dry January. [00:00:17] I'm going to get healthy by not drinking anymore and I want to feel better. I'm tired of having hangovers. All of those things I understand and I'm not going to sit here and tell you this, that drinking tequila is healthy. It's alcohol. It's not healthy. But I'm going to point to three brands right here. They're going to bring you a tequila that's not going to give you a horrible hangover, that's not filled with chemicals that you don't know about, and is going to let you drink less and stay a little healthier. Here's some good things about tequila in these tequilas. It's only water, agave and yeast to make what we have. So no additives, no added sugars. You're looking at just a clean, low calorie, very low carb alcohol. Here's another important thing about alcohol and drinking and trying to stay a little healthier. Stay away from those crazy sugary drinks. When you're drinking a margarita, you may be drinking 600 calories. If you're going to sit down with a tequila and you want to drink healthier and you want to drink smarter, first grab a very clean, additive free brand. And the traditional way tequila is made really helps provide some of those advantages that the natural agave has. I'm not going to tell you that it's going to make you lose weight or make you run faster or make you taller, because it's not. Agave plants themselves are very healthy plants. They they actually have sugars that help people. Like a GLP one would. It helps how hungry you are, but those effects are gone in tequila. Your pancreas create more insulin. It slows down how hungry you are. Once tequila's gone through the maceration and the distillation process, those good attributes of the agave plant have been taken out. But still cleaner, better alcohol. Drink it neat or drink it with a soda water or just add a little hint of lime and learn to love the taste of tequila and you might be a little healthier. So instead of January, drink smart. You can still have fun without drinking. Said I don't know who. So what does healthy drinking look like in 2026? Well for me it's less sugary cocktails. No more giant margaritas. Maybe just some really good clean tequila in a ranch water and some lime. Or maybe just some tequila on a rock with a little bit of lime. Or for me, how about just a little bit of tequila neat? Drinking healthier is always drinking smarter. Drinking drink a little slower too. No more shots, no more salt, no more lime. Just do some sipping, some relaxed, lower, moderate intake. When you drink tequila and treat it like a wine, you sniff it, you sip it, you taste it, you savor it. That's a night of having some nice drinks without going overboard. So you want a little healthier alcohol. Just look for clean, free, 100% blue agave tequila. Learn how to sip it. Learn how to drink it slow. Learn how to enjoy it. So so no, tequila is not a health drink. But when you choose the right tequila and drink it with intention, it absolutely belongs in a healthy 2026. Drink less, drink better, drink with a purpose.
