[00:00:00] All right. You might remember this beauty right here, Cotoro 100 blanco, which I reviewed a while back and absolutely loved. Well, today we're gonna kick out its older sibling. Boom. We're gonna put out the new Couturo 100 reposado. Let's open this one up. All right. As you can see, this one's a fresh pop. Let's go.
[00:00:18] All right, there you go. Fresh pop straight out the box. Big shout out to Keith Bogart for sending this bottle out to me. Keep your ears and eyes open for an interview that I've got coming up with Keith and the brand owner, where we're going to talk about the story and do a deep dive into Cotura 100. All right. Cotura 100 reposado made it nom 1414. In the Highlands in Orandas, we're talking all Los Altos agaves, slow cooked in those wonderful stone ovens, roller mill crush, naturally fermented, distilled in copper. And then this is absolutely aged to Perfection.
[00:00:53] Bottled at 43 ABV. A little extra kick compared to a standard 40 ABV. All right, let's jump into the nose of this one. For this one, I get a rich, earthy minerality, some bright citrus, a little touch of limestone in the background. Pick up a little bit of that barrel musk, but not a lot. Just enough to know that this agave has been kind of kissed by a barrel and aged a little bit. Citrus is really nice. I feel like it's a blend between an orange and some lime. I. Let's. Let's. Let's hit this on the flavor. Here we go. Wow. The sweetness of the agave is, like, really leading the way of all the flavors. It's got a nice floral note. That citrus kind of weaves itself in. That minerality is there. It's got a nice pepper that builds a little warmth in the. Going into the finish. I almost pick up a touch of pineapple also in that nose and flavor. It's very caramelly with a lot of vanilla, and you can tell it's all this natural flavors. Has a really nice mouthfeel to really coats the mouth. Going to say that the finish is medium to long. Could really see the legs on the glass, too. The finish has got a lot of cooked agave. It's got a little pepper hit to it, a nice little bit of citrus in there, and a really subtle cinnamon or allspice note that rolls into the finish. This makes this really drinkable. A really nice look. At 48 bucks, this reposado is really well rounded, well balanced with a lot of flavor. It's worth tracking down. It's starting to hit in markets like San Diego and parts of California, but its availability is growing. This is something you could try neat. You could try it over a big block of ice. If you're merging over from the bourbon world and you're used to chilling your drink down, it would really kick in a margarita and even make a great tequila old fashioned for those. Again, bourbon or whiskey drinkers making their move to tequila cultura 100 reposado man, great one to try. Just like everything that comes out of 1414. Just a banger. Thanks Sergio Cruz for absolutely killing it the way you make tequila. Keith Bogart, thanks for sending this out and the fresh pop of another great tequila. Stay tuned for the interview that we've got coming up soon that's going to explain everything you want to know about this brand. Another brand that I'm really stoked about. Also, if you can find the cultura 100 blanco, it's an 80 proof a blanco. Same tequila that's in here. In here. It's amazing. Check it out.
